… sad to leave you and this little town I am beyond thankful for everything!

You invited and welcomed me into your beautiful family just the way I am. When looking back I don’t really remember a settling-in period or something similar. We simply fitted together!

I will never forget how nearly all of my first 10 days with you included sick patients (Whitney -> Dan -> Lacey -> Elle -> Whitney) passing it to each other except that I didn’t take that stomach bug. However, at no stage I wished for another hostfamily because you are simply the best!

Over and over I discovered that aupairing is finding more parts of my own roots, adding family members (although not related by blood), finding a warm home away from home. It’s not the physical stuff that made/makes me feel a part of this family but all tose little emotional things. I got to know so many incredible people, visited wanderful places and developed and grew up again. Step by step everything came together and I will be forever thankful for you having me here.

At this stage I am very curious and looking forward to how you as a family and every individual will grow and develop in the next months and years to come. I do know for sure that our friendship and therefore journey only just began and that our paths will cross again. (Hopefully in Australia, Europe and Canada?)

I can’t thank you enough for everything!
