Today morning I thought the fact, that the Visa processing time changed made my day – and than that:

I was quickly checking my emails – just incase there was one regarding my visa – after a long day with the my brothers and sisters from my first Hostfamily near Hamburg-Germany where I am spending my summer, and there it was: An Email with my IMMI Grant Notification, slowly I opend it and read

Application status: Granted!!! I can’t stop smiling! everything worked out and another door opened to get even closer to my dream of going abroad. I am not only a little overwhelmed! I feel like I waited years to finally read this letter. Just AMAZING!

Heute Morgen dachte ich, dass die verkürzte Visumantrag-Bearbeitungszeit bereits DER Höhepunkt meines Tages wäre – und dann das:

Vor dem Abendessen sah ich noch kurz in mein Emailpostfach – du weißt schon – nur für den Fall, dass es Neuigkeiten bezüglich meines Visums gab. Es war bereits ein langer Tag mit meinen Brüdern und Schwestern meiner Wahlfamilie in Hamburg gewesen und dieses eine Email hatte ich gar nicht erwartet: Eine Mail mit dem Betreff “IMMI Grant Notification”, also die Benachrichtigung, dass mein Visum genehmigt wurde. Langsam öffnete ich die Nachricht und deren anhang. Und da stand es schwarz auf weiß geschrieben: Application status: Granted. Ein Wahnsinn!!! Mein Work and Holidayvisum wurde genehmigt!!! Ich bin ziemlich überwältigt, denn gefühlt hatte ich zwei Jahre auf diese Nachricht gewartet. Einfach unfassbar!
